Powell’s death a ‘rare phenomenon’
Bloomberg has reported on the exceedingly rare breakthrough infection that resulted in former US Secretary of State Colin Powell’s death. Despite being fully vaccinated, Powell passed away at age 84 due to Covid-19 complications. He was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, prior to falling ill with Covid. According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, of more than 187 million people in the US vaccinated, only 7,178 or 0.004% have died from breakthrough infections.
