I want to apologise to everyone for the down time of HistoryReviewed today. I didn’t even realise that the website was crashing endlessly.
The website was crashing when you went in to read an article or to view a video. That’s when it would crash.
I was busy doing a lot of work on another server of mine on other software last night. While I was doing that work I had a "good idea" to change a certain setting on all my servers. It was a very simple change and I never imagined it could have caused an issue. So I changed it on all my servers and then carried on with my software work.
It’s only today that I see that for some reason it caused History Reviewed to crash. It’s quite bizarre and I’ll monitor it. I want to double check whether that was the cause or whether there is another cause.
So for now everything is back up and running, and it definitely was me who caused the crashes. It wasn’t a hacker or anything like that.
