FROM JAN: THE WILDEST TIMES IN MY ACTIVISM: ZIMBABWE: 2000-2008

The Zimbabwe government knows about me. In one of my videos I’m sure I told the story of the 2 black spies who came to meet me. They wanted to know about the "war" I was talking about because with the zimbabweans, as in SA I always spoke of WAR. They came to my work at the bank after hours. 2 Very smartly dressed young Blacks and they were interested in "joining the war", so I said to them: "I might write about a war on my website but there is no war" – they didn’t believe me and wanted to have another meeting with me. In the next meeting I brought in another black and he spoke to them in their language and he quickly figured out who they were. He told me afterwards that these guys were "Militia" – Zimbabwe Government people. These 2 Militia then wanted to meet me for a third time but they insisted that the next meeting be without the Black guy. I never met them again. I must admit those early days 2000-2008 were the wildest time ever when I was doing my activism. The events of those years were crazy. I was meeting Whites from Zimbabwe, Blacks from Zimbabwe, spies were around, it was a wild time. Nowadays things are very boring by comparison. The high point was 2008 – that is when a all out Black on Black Civil War almost took place with Whites backing the anti-communist Blacks, but the anti-communist Blacks chickened out. Botswana, a neighbouring country allied to America was getting it’s army and artillery ready to invade Zimbabwe. South Africa’s Black leaders were ALWAYS on the side of Zimbabwe. 2008 was the high point. Then it all collapsed. That was the end. All things thereafter was a waste of time. I had some wild times. My wildest times during activism was from then. I want to do a video about some of the events from that time. Some crazy stuff went down, and I had quite a lot of supporters. There was a White British guy in South Africa who had a security company who was a big supporter of mine – he loved my website. I published stuff from him … and then suddenly …. the South African Government pounced on him, and laid charges against him and a few months later that British guy was DEAD. I want to tell the story about that man. I have some special things from that time that I’ve not talked about in 20 years. I have some interesting stories to tell.
