Confederate General Stonewall Jackson was a huge fan of Napoleon

Stonewall Jackson is one of the amazing Generals on the Confederate side. I was reading that when he went into battle, he always took 2 books with him: (1). The Bible
(2). The Maxims of Napoleon.

I have a copy of the Maxims of Napoleon. That is a discussion for another day. But Napoleon’s military advice was collated together and printed in a book called the Maxims of Napoleon.

It gives detailed military advice. It is a sophisticated book.

Its far more complex than say, Sun Tzu’s Art of War.

I was pleased to see that Jackson was a fan of Napoleon. I recall there was one of his campaigns that was incredibly brilliant, and perhaps Napoleon’s maxims were the inspiration for that?

This book is a good opportunity to see what is in the mind of a Black man if he actually takes the time to think and study honestly. You may be surprised and even amazed by some of what he says. I also discuss the story behind the book and how it came to be published.
