WHAT MY BOER PAL, THE MISSILE ENGINEER TAUGHT ME ABOUT THE BIBLE….

The above image, is why the Afrikaans Missile Engineer showed me. Those lines you see there, show every single contradiction in the Bible, that scholars have found. In other words, in one part of the Bible you can get something that advocates the opposite of what is in another part of the Bible. I will give some examples.

The above image comes from this interactive website where you can study some of the contradictions in the Bible: http://bibviz.com/

To use the above site, just hover your cursor over any line. Then on the top right, you will see the contradiction and where it is listed. If you move your cursor until some of the lines turn white, then you can click on it. Then you will get an entire page with an explanation of the contradictions and the verses where you will find this.

It is therefore quite possible, by reading certain parts of the Bible selectively, to make arguments that are actually opposite. I’ll give some examples of problems found in the Bible.
NOTE: Originally, there were 80 forms of Christianity before the Roman Emperor created a single christianity. Among the early believers in Christianity were the Gnostics. The Gnostics wrote many books. But the Gnostics did NOT believe that the Bible and the stories therein were actually REAL. They saw the Bible as having values, but NOT ACTUALLY REPRESENTING REAL HISTORY. However, other Christians regarded the Bible as ACTUAL HISTORY, and I think they eventually won over.

Here are a few contradictions in the Bible:

The Power of God

“… with God all things are possible.” — Matthew 19:26

“…The LORD was with Judah; and he drave out the inhabitants of the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron.” — Judges 1:19

Here are a few others:-

Seeing God

“… I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.” — Genesis 32:30

“No man hath seen God at any time…”– John 1:18

The Sabbath Day

“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.” — Exodus 20:8

“One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.” — Romans 14:5

Incest

“Cursed be he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of this mother…” — Deuteronomy 27:22

“And if a man shall take his sister, his father’s daughter, or his mother’s daughter…it is a wicked thing….” — Leviticus 20:17

However, when Abraham marries his sister, we see this:-

Genesis 20:11-12 King James Version (KJV):

11 And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God is not in this place; and they will slay me for my wife’s sake.

12 And yet indeed she is my sister; she is the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife.

“And God said unto Abraham, As for Sara thy wife…I bless her, and give thee a son also of her…” — Genesis 17:15-16

    The Sabbath Day
“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.” — Exodus 20:8

“One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.” — Romans 14:5

This is an example of not illiteracy but a failure to read for yourself. Exodus was a covenant and Law for the Israelites (and only)to remember their rest from slavery and labour. It guaranteed a rest day which is civilized.

Romans was written under a new covenant to all those from the nations who accepted the Lordship of Christ and freedom from the old Law. The Law brought only bondage and slavery.
Given that it is two different peoples and two different covenants and God spoke of a a New Covenant to the Jews in Jeremiah 31:31. He says it will not be like the one I gave Moses when you came out of Egypt. Discrepancy I do not think so.

“Cursed be he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of this mother…” — Deuteronomy 27:22

“And if a man shall take his sister, his father’s daughter, or his mother’s daughter…it is a wicked thing….” — Leviticus 20:17

However, when Abraham marries his sister, we see this:-
Abraham was not under the Law as it was not given, yet. The fall brought in sin decay and corruption and death. The first men married close relatives and slowly the corruption was so bad God forbid near marriage’s. Its not a contradiction its an illuminating fact. I recently saw a geneticist who said the genetic load will not withstand more than 25 thousand years as the genetic diseases will snuff out all life without modern medicine. Jews have,is it Sacks disease and so do Pakistanis because of inbreeding with close relatives. Even in the Hell up in Oudsthoorn you see inbred people living in that Valley. God is great trust his word and rejoice He has revealed some plain truths.

No contradiction at all, only minds who cant think outside the box

Abrahams wife was his half sister, not full sister. Clearly told in the bible.

The laws – 10 commandments were not for the world, they were given to the entire house of Israel – 12 tribes + the 2 half tribes. If they were for the world, then Moses would have gone preaching teaching them but they were the Israelites only.

If the laws for example “thy shalt not kill” were to be applied to everyone, then there is a contradiction about Joshua wiping out thousands of women and children in the land of Canaan -no contradiction – Israelites cannot kill, steal, adultrate, commit any of the laws against each other, but to other races they surly can.

Until one realizes the bible is only meant for the houses of Israel all undrstanding falls away. It is applicable only to the Israelites which is why Christ said, “I have come but unto the house of Israel” “Go but unto the house of Israel”

Abraham did see God – it was Christ confirmed when Christ tells the Jews, if you were of Abrahams seed you would have been glad to have met me on that day – The only people Abraham met were the Angels – one must according to Christ been him.

The rhitual of taking the sabath became and still is like an omen, what Christ was saying which can be seen in leviticus is that every human or animal or slave needs a days rest – which day you want to have the rest on is up to you.

I have been studying the bible for 29 years, I have been through the book more than most pastors back to back and know more about the arecheology & history than 99% of pastors.

    Hi Jan,

So you really believe, that sending 20 Mails a Day is helpful?
To be honest, I am a bit annoyed by this !!!

Not that I am reading them, but next step will be, that all Mails are ending up as Spam, because it is just TOO MUCH! Also I am receiving other mails and I hope you stop this nonsense- otherwise I will need to block you!
