Photo Rhodesian SAS – Special Air Service – My brother the youngest recruit in 1962

This is a photo of my brother who in 1962 was the youngest guy at the time to make it into the Rhodesian SAS (Special Air Service) – which is a direct offshoot of the British SAS. This was from a newspaper article in the Rhodesia Herald, the biggest newspaper in the country. At the time this photo was taken, I wasn’t even born yet. My brother was 17 years old!

11 years later he was in the thick of the fighting, year in and year out. My brother often spent 6 months of the year in the Rhodesian army. The govt paid his little business a subsidy for the times when he was on call-out. His partner was another Boer. The two of them ran a successful engineering business in a small town. My brother got his wings at the age of 17.

In the 1960’s, he and other SAS members were sent into Northern Rhodesia (now Zambia) and even into what became Zaire/Congo – where there was heavy fighting because of all the communist activity going on there as the so-called “Liberation wars” of Africa were starting. These were communist terrorists but you know them by the Liberal/Jewish term “Freedom fighters” – yet another one of so many lies! The SAS operated in 2 man teams. I don’t know if my brother held the record for the youngest ever recruit into the SAS in Rhodesia. I know that when I posted this on AfricanCrisis years ago the SAS association contacted my brother. The old soldiers stick together.

The thing that is lost though, is that after these events, the people go their separate ways. They are NEVER a group again. This is true for Rhodesians as for others and its a thing the Boers must keep in mind. In fact, its already happened in many ways with large numbers of whites leaving the country.
